Before buying a tukango eSIM, make sure your phone supports eSIM technology. Here are two quick ways to check.
Method 1: Dial *#06#
This is the fastest way to check on any phone:
- Open your Phone app (the one you use to make calls)
- Dial \*#06#
- Look at the results:
- If you see an EID (a long number starting with 89) โ Your phone supports eSIM โ - If you only see IMEI numbers and no EID โ Your phone may not support eSIM โ
Method 2: Check your phone settings
iPhone
Settings โ Cellular (or Mobile Data)
- If you see "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan" โ eSIM supported โ
- If this option doesn't exist โ Not supported โ
Samsung
Settings โ Connections โ SIM card manager
- If you see "Add eSIM" or "Add mobile plan" โ eSIM supported โ
- If this option doesn't exist โ Not supported โ
Google Pixel
Settings โ Network & internet โ SIMs โ "Add eSIM"
Important: Carrier lock check
Even if your phone supports eSIM, it must also be carrier-unlocked to use a tukango eSIM.
