You can check your remaining tukango eSIM data in two places: the tukango dashboard (most accurate) and your phone's cellular settings (rough estimate).
Method 1: tukango dashboard (recommended)
This is the most accurate, real-time view of your usage.
Open your dashboard
Go to tukango.com and log in. If you bought as a guest, use the link in your order confirmation email.
Find your active eSIM
In the Active eSIMs section, you'll see a card for each plan. Each card shows:
- Country and flag
- A visual data usage bar
- X.X GB of Y GB remaining
- Validity end date
- Status (Active, In Use, Expired)
Tap for more details
Click an eSIM card for the full breakdown:
- Data used so far
- Data remaining
- Daily usage history (some plans)
- Network you're connected to
- Top-up button if you're running low
Refresh manually if needed
The dashboard updates automatically, but you can pull-to-refresh on mobile or click the refresh icon if you want the latest data right now.
Method 2: Phone cellular settings
A rough cumulative count of data used on the eSIM line. Less accurate than the dashboard but works without WiFi.
iPhone
- Open Settings → Cellular
- Scroll to Cellular Data
- Find your tukango line
- The number under the line name shows total data used since the counter was last reset
⚠️ This counter doesn't reset automatically — it shows lifetime usage on that line until you tap Reset Statistics at the bottom of the screen.
Samsung Galaxy
- Open Settings → Connections → Data usage
- Tap Mobile data usage
- Switch to the tukango line if needed
- View used data for the current billing cycle
Google Pixel
- Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs
- Tap your tukango eSIM
- Tap App data usage
- View total used data for the current period
When to check
Daily check-in is a good habit if you're on a tight data budget. Most travelers underestimate how much they use — especially video, social media, and navigation.
Top up before you reach zero. Once data hits 0, your phone disconnects from the network completely. Top up when you're at 20-30% remaining to avoid an outage.
